We encourage everyone to order online, but you can order by phone and talk to a live customer service representative from 10am to 4pm M-F PST (1pm to 7pm EST) at (714) 256-9401. Please have complete stock numbers and payment info ready when calling. Keep in mind you cannot redeem coupons on phone orders.

Layaway Policy:

Any single item with a value of $100 or more can be put on a 60 day layaway with the following conditions:

  • A 50% non refundable deposit is required at time of order.
  • The remaining balance must be paid in full, including all shipping charges within 60 days.
  • You must note in the comment section during the check out process that you want us to put your purchase on layaway.
  • You must also email us immediately after placing your order stating that you want us to place your order on layaway and you must include the order number. Please email us at customerservice@internettrains.com
  • It will be your sole responsibility to make sure your payment or payments are made within the 60 day layaway time frame.
  • After the 60th day, your order will be canceled and all deposits will be non-refundable.
  • Initial layaway deposit must be made with credit card at checkout.  eCheck will not be accepted as initial layaway payment. If you attempt to pay with eCheck, your order will be billed in full at time of check out and your order will be processed and shipped in full.

Price Matching:

We will price match any legitimate online competitors price. To get price matching on a particular item please insert into the comments section of your online order form the competitors name, the item(s) in question and an address link to the website where the item can be found so we can verify the price(s). We will adjust the price(s) on your final invoice as long as we can verify the provided information and the following criteria are also met. Certain eligibility rules do apply to receive the advantage of our price matching policy.

Criteria:

  • Competitors must be a U.S. authorized retailer doing business on the Internet, (Internet auction sites such as eBay or eBay stores do not count) and they must have the identical item in stock.
  • Offer does not apply to special orders, rebates, samples, one-of-a-kind, limited or bulk quantity items, bonus or special offers, clearances, closeouts, eBay, or typographical errors.
  • We reserve the right to limit quantities.
  • Offer applies only to new identical products.

Shipping Prices & Policies:

Our standard order processing time is 2-6 business days.

For Continental USA – We offer a flat $7.99* per order for S/H in the continental USA to any valid street address (Our choice of carrier and service). You may also choose FedEx Ground at a flat rate of $10.99 per order. If choosing either of these methods, make sure your shipping address is a valid street address and not a P.O. Box. If your shipping address is a P.O. Box, you must choose USPS Priority Mail.

For USPS Priority Mail you will be charged the actual cost of shipping, plus insurance and a $3.00 handling fee. Insurance will be added at the rate of $2.00 for the first $100.00 of your order and $1.00 per each additional $50.00 of your order.

*Some items may require extra shipping and will be noted on the item page.

Shipping Deposits – Shipping deposits do not apply to flat rate shipping options. Due to the fact that actual shipping costs on all other shipping options can not be determined until the time of shipment, a shipping and handling deposit will be added to your order before checkout. If the actual shipping and handling exceeds your deposit you will be notified by email before shipping your order. If the deposit applied to your order is in excess of the actual shipping charges the charges will be adjusted at time of shipment. The following is a list of shipping and handling deposit by shipping type:

  • FedEx Next Day Air – Actual rate.  Shipping deposit equals 40% of order total or $38 minimum.  Excess refunded.
  • FedEx 2nd Day Air – Actual rate.  Shipping deposit equals 30% of order total or $30 minimum.  Excess refunded.
  • FedEx 2nd Day Air (AK/HI) – Actual rate.  Shipping deposit equals 35% of order total or $25 minimum.  Excess refunded.
  • FedEx 3 Day – Actual rate.  Shipping deposit equals 35% of order total or $22 minimum.  Excess refunded.
  • USPS Priority Mail – Shipping deposit equals 20% of order total or $15 minimum.  Excess refunded.
  • FedEx Int. Economy – Actual rate.  Shipping deposit equals 50% of order total or $99 minimum.  Excess refunded.
  • FedEx Int. Economy (PR) – Actual rate.  Shipping deposit equals 35% of order total or $25 minimum.  Excess refunded.
  • USPS Global Priority Mail – Shipping deposit equals 30% of order total or $35 minimum.  Excess refunded.

Please note that choosing expedited shipping will not speed up the processing time of your order, only the shipment transit time once it leaves our warehouse.

For International, APO/FPO, Hawaii and Alaska – We ship internationally on a daily basis. International orders are always welcome. We have built up a large, loyal, world wide customer base, based on our ability to bring service and satisfaction to the International shoppers around the globe. Please read our International shipping policies below. All shipping charges, duties and taxes (if any), are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Any refused shipments that get returned to us will be billed for all of these fees plus a 15% restocking fee. All shipments will be insured! We do not offer surface mail as a shipping option. Please do not ask us to put down a lesser order value or mark shipment as a gift on any custom forms, this is against the law. Below you will find detailed information about shipping to your area.

  • Canada – Your shipping choices at checkout will be USPS Global Priority Mail or FedEx International Economy.
    • For USPS Priority Mail you will be charged the actual cost of shipping, plus insurance and a $3.00 handling fee. Insurance will be added at the rate of $2.00 for the first $100.00 of your order and $1.00 per each additional $50.00 of your order.
    • If choosing FedEx International Economy you will be charged the actual published rates and nothing additional.
  • Mexico – FedEx International Economy is the only shipping option available for shipping to Mexico.
    • You will be charged the actual published rates and nothing additional.
  • APO/FPO, AE, AA or AP Addresses – These orders will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail only.
    • For USPS Priority Mail you will be charged the actual cost of shipping, plus insurance and a $3.00 handling fee. Insurance will be added at the rate of $2.00 for the first $100.00 of your order and $1.00 per each additional $50.00 of your order.
  • Hawaii and Alaska – Shipping options at checkout will be USPS Priority Mail or FedEx 2nd Day Air.
    • For USPS Priority Mail you will be charged the actual cost of shipping, plus insurance and a $3.00 handling fee. Insurance will be added at the rate of $2.00 for the first $100.00 of your order and $1.00 per each additional $50.00 of your order.
    • If choosing FedEx 2nd Day Air you will be charged the actual published rates and nothing additional.
  • Puerto Rico – Shipping options at checkout will be USPS Priority Mail or FedEx International Economy (PR).
    • For USPS Priority Mail you will be charged the actual cost of shipping, plus insurance and a $3.00 handling fee. Insurance will be added at the rate of $2.00 for the first $100.00 of your order and $1.00 per each additional $50.00 of your order.
    • If choosing FedEx International Economy (PR) you will be charged the actual published rates and nothing additional.
  • All Other Foreign Countries – Shipping options at checkout will be USPS Global Priority Mail or FedEx International Economy.
    • For USPS Priority Mail you will be charged the actual cost of shipping, plus insurance and a $3.00 handling fee. Insurance will be added at the rate of $2.00 for the first $100.00 of your order and $1.00 per each additional $50.00 of your order.
    • If choosing FedEx International Economy you will be charged the actual published rates and nothing additional.

Please note: Some oversize packages cannot be shipped by the US Postal Service regardless of the destination and must be shipped by FedEx. All shipping charges, duties, taxes and brokerage fees (if any), are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Minimum S/H on any order sent Internationally, APO/FPO or to Alaska and Hawaii will be $10.99.

Return Policy:

Returns will only be accepted within the first 15 days of the receipt of merchandise with an approved RMA number. Returns will NOT be accepted without an authorized RMA number and will be returned to the customer.  Returns exchanged for new merchandise or a store credit will not be charged a restocking fee. All other returns will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Shipping, handling, duties and any other related fees are not refundable. All returns must be in the original package in original condition and must include all the original manuals and paperwork, etc. No exceptions. You may request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from us by phone or email. Our phone number is (714) 256-9401 and our email address is customerservice@internettrains.com. The RMA number must be clearly written on the outside of the box and you must include a copy of your original invoice with your return. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges on returns. We cannot accept any postage dues, COD's and no shipping credits will be issued. Please pack the merchandise safely so it reaches us in the same condition it reached you. Upon receiving your AUTHORIZED return, you will be credited any applicable amount owed to you. Special order items are not returnable unless defective. If you need warranty work or a replacement, please contact the manufacturer. We will gladly help you get contact information. We will accept defective item returns within 15 days of delivery for an exchange or replacement, or you can send it back to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. Train Set Return Policy:

Any train sets purchased that arrives to you defective can be returned with an approved RMA number and will only be exchanged for the same identical set, no credits towards other merchandise or refunds will be allowed. Train sets can only be returned to us within 15 days of date of purchase if defective with an approved RMA. After 15 days, all train sets must be returned to the manufacturer for repair or replacements. Your train set manufacturers warranty will be included in the train set. The only exception to this above policy will be for a train set that is un-opened, un-used and in brand new sellable condition. We will accept a train set back in the above condition for exchange or store credit only with an approved RMA number within 15 days of purchase. Train set must be in brand new, un-opened and un-used condition with the original shrink-wrap still intact on the package and no gummed seals have been broken. All shipping fees on any return will be the responsibility of the customer. You must write your RMA# on the shipping label and enclose a copy of your original invoice with your return. Prices & Typographical Errors:

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price, with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing, coupon or gift certificate errors or misuse and abuse or incorrect product information received from our suppliers, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order(s) placed under these conditions. We shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such order(s) and correct any disparities whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, we shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order placed for discounted or clearance items when an order has previously been placed and then canceled for the same items. We reserve the right to refuse any order for any reason. Prices and policies are subject to change without prior notice.
